Contour shade finder Find your contour across 368 shades.
Start from a foundation or concealer shade you wear, your saved profile, or your skin depth and undertone. Contour creates shadow, so the picks sit deeper than a bronzer would, matte first and never shimmer.

Do you already wear a foundation or concealer shade that matches your skin?
What best matches your skin depth?
And your undertone?
How to tell your undertone
Undertone is the colour beneath the surface of your skin. It is separate from depth: deep skin can be cool, and fair skin can be warm or olive.

- Fabric. Hold white, then cream, fabric against your face. White flatters cool, cream flatters warm, both look right on neutral.
- Jewellery. Silver flatters cool, gold flatters warm, both look right on neutral.
If the signs disagree, choose Neutral, or choose Not sure to match on skin depth alone.
About these results
- How your skin is read
- From a foundation or concealer shade you wear: its measured depth, or the depth word in its description, and its stored undertone. Otherwise your saved profile or your two answers. There is no separate skin-tone quiz.
- How the contour is chosen
- Deeper than a bronzer for your skin and more muted than it, matte first, low in colour strength: grey-brown for cool skin, neutral brown for warm skin. The depth aimed for is set for each of the 12 skin depths from what retailers say each contour is for. A shade lighter than your skin and any shimmer are left out.
- Suited, Possible and Closest
- Suited and Possible are each shade’s rating as a contour, assessed separately for each use, so a product sold as bronzer and contour can rate differently for each. Closest means the shade misses at least one rule, and the tile says which. Price never changes the order.
- Data confidence and before you buy
- The coloured word on each tile is data confidence: how far that shade’s colour family, depth and undertone can be relied on. It says nothing about how well the shade suits you. Colours are sampled from retailer swatch images, so check a shade on your skin before buying. How scoring and confidence work.
